Grounds maintenance

idverde is the provider of parks, grounds and cemeteries maintenance services across the two boroughs of Merton and Sutton.

idverde is a horticultural specialist and the largest ‘green service’ provider in the UK.  They provide a range of maintenance and management services to the two SLWP boroughs including:

• Maintenance – horticulture, grounds maintenance, playgrounds, cemeteries, sports provision and infrastructure repairs
• Management – management of cemeteries, allotments, and income generation, particularly through sports bookings.

idverde are also committed to:

• Supporting and improving communication with and between Friends of Parks and other recognised local groups
• Seeking additional funding to support Friends of Parks’ activities
• Encouraging and facilitating more volunteer involvement in open space management.

The contract

On 17 January 2017, the London Borough of Croydon, on behalf of the South London Waste Partnership, signed the ‘Contract for grounds maintenance (Lot 2)’ with idverde.  In the interests of transparency and public accountability, the contract is available for members of the public to download and view.  Only information that is of a commercially sensitive nature has been blacked out:
