What's your plastic solution?
Raising awareness of the direct link between plastic waste and carbon emissions.
Campaign detailsThe South London Waste Partnership is made up of four councils (Croydon, Kingston, Merton and Sutton) who are working together to provide improved and more cost-effective waste management and environmental services to their residents.
Our Partnership95% of the waste we handle is recycled, composted or sent for energy recovery. Less than 5% ends up in landfill.
41% is the average recycling rate across the four SLWP boroughs - above the London average of 33% but below the national average of 43%.
99.9% of recycling and waste collections take place on their scheduled day.
Our goal is to create a carbon-neutral waste management system where waste materials are treated as a valuable resource.
Raising awareness of the direct link between plastic waste and carbon emissions.

❗From May 2024, an admin fee of £18 will apply for all requests for new & replacement waste & recycling containers, excluding food waste caddies. Unfortunately, it's no longer sustainable for the council to provide them for free, due to economic pressures
